Kim was born and raised in the York, PA area and has
lived there his entire life. He grew up in a small town with a population of 200 people, where southern gospel music
was broadcast over loud speakers from the local church. Raised in a Christian home, Kim accepted Christ as his Lord
and Savior at the age of 6.
high school, Kim attended York College of PA and graduated with an accounting and business administration degree. While
there, he played baseball for the York College Spartans and has remained active in sports over the years. After college
and several jobs along the way, he became self employed in 1989 and owns the Abel Notary Service LLC located in both York
from a musically talented family. His Dad plays clarinet and saxophone; his Mom plays organ and piano and his only brother
is an accomplished classical pianist. Kim started singing at the age of 3 on a local Christian radio station and continued
with music during his growing up years. He has always enjoyed 4 part southern gospel harmonies and started singing with
Keystone State Quartet in 2009.
Kim is married to Tanya, and they have two children. Tyler, married to Jocelyn, lives in York and their daughter,
Kelsey, lives at home and is attending college. Lucky, their golden doodle, completes the Abel family. Kim and
