Julie was born in Milton, FL.  She is the daughter of a career Navy man and his wife.  At the age of 3, the family returned to Pennsylvania to direct construction on their new home while Dad finished up his service to our country in Norfolk, VA.  Shortly after, another brother arrived to make Julie the fourth of six children.

Julie grew up in the small town of Cherry Tree, PA and attended the Pine Grove Wesleyan Methodist Church where she sang with her family, as well as in school musicals, chorus and choirs.  After finishing high school and nursing school, the desire to sing remained and she ministered with "The Masters" for almost four years, then with a group of which she was part owner, "Only by Grace".  God blessed her, yet again, with the opportunity to sing with "New Spirit Quartet" and now "K.S.Q.".

She is employed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, working in a facility that cares for people with intellectual disabilities.  In her spare time, Julie is a paramedic and you'll find her in an ambulance caring for those in need. She serves as a board member for the Pennsylvania Southern Gospel Music Association. Julie and her husband, Terry, and little dogs, Hallie and Sophia Rose, make their home in Ebensburg, PA, better known to some as "The North Pole". They attend Grace Church of Ebensburg. Four children and five grandchildren (one granddaughter lives in Heaven now) completes the Sloan family.

You will enjoy Julie’s wit and constant smile.  She loves the Lord and is anxious to tell others of the GOOD NEWS of Jesus and what He has done in her life. She sings the Soprano/Alto part for KSQ.
